E. Barrenechea: "We are having a great second half of the season"
The Valencia CF midfielder speaks to VCF Media
The third edition of the startup innovation programme organised by the VCF Innovation Hub has been planned for later this year, with the collaboration of Startup Valencia. The programme is seeking startups linked to the innovation verticals of the club, in order to select up to eight projects that will have the opportunity to participate.
The initiative will start in September. The selected companies will become part of the VCF ecosystem, able to benefit from networking with the companies associated with the VCF Business Club and Startup Valencia. They will receive advice and training hand in hand with experts from each area, and will have a workspace at Mestalla.
“The program will allow startups to have the opportunity to learn from within how professional sports clubs work, in an environment where there is currently great potential for innovation. In addition, it will contribute to the international positioning of the Valencian startup ecosystem, alongside a global brand in Valencia CF,” says Juan Luis Hortelano, president of Startup Valencia.
The VCF Innovation Hub is at the forefront of innovation in the sports sector, as having these young entrepreneurs will allow it to incorporate all the innovations provided by new companies and improve in its key areas.
Thanks to the first two editions, for which more than 100 companies signed up, a total of 18 have had the opportunity to develop innovative projects.
